Spanish Soul (Alma Espanola) instrumental (only available on CD). i have changed the CD title to ' extended pleasures '. i have approached some major outlets here but haven't been able to finalise the artwork as i had a major heart operation in may of this year

i started my musical foray in sydney australia following my girlfriend there ( 1976 to 1981 ) i started singing and playing guitar in a punk band called 'the cleaners' .it was a good time to be a part of the burgeoning australian music scene ( cold chisel,the angels , midnight oil).i learnt the essence of ' playing live '.we played punk covers mixed with some glam, sex pistols,ramones and bowie.i watched our bass player open a club called 'blondies' where 'the boys next door' played.that band had nick cave as the singer.our band morphed into Idiot/savant i started to write some original songs - character assasin,favourites.our best gig was supporting midnight oil.the lead guitarist decided to take over and my last band was playing guitar only in a ska/soul band ' the innersoles'.unfortunately none of these bands did any recording.i returned to new zealand after a bad accident but never lost my enthusiasm for music.i am a solo artist who has been able to still use my talents to record my own material.my influences go as far back as my parents,who could carry a tune and their listening pleasures - ella fitzgerald,brook benton and nat king cole.i was born in 1952 and enjoyed all the original rock and roll artists - elvis presly etc.then i was heavily influenced by my older brother and sister's music - early rolling stones and the whole Beat era.my fave The Beatles.jimi hendrix has probably been my greatest influence as i am left handed to.then laterly kurt cobain.but it was the punk era that made it seem possible to play with limited prowess.i write songs that are typically new zealand based, and tell the stories from that point of view !!!
