Early last year amidst a rollicking evening of drunken musical merrymaking in the back garden of an unbeknown bank manager, the roots of a promising alternative folk band began to emerge and entwine themselves around the heads and hearts of five young Perth musicians. It was from here, that These Winter Nights eventually came to be. Since formation, These Winter Nights have been winning over audiences in the Perth music scene with their dynamic and passionate stage performance, heartfelt lyricism and charming melodies.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver and Angus Stone, These Winter Nights create their own style of melodic "goose-bump-enducing folk", ranging from ambient melancholic soundscapes to energetic folky grooves topped with soaring organ solo's.
With their debut release on the musical horizon, 2013 is set to be an exciting and noteworthy year.
