Like a crazed bull charging through a rodeo with a kick me sign tapes to its hindquarters, the newest Jersey shore musical sensation disarms with comedy before going in for the kill with its catchy, crunching brand of hard rock.
The Sex Zombies have generated quite a buzz (and quite a resume) in the past six months, playing an average of six to eight shows per month in areas as diverse as the Jersey Shore, Manhattan, Jersey City, North Jersey and even to the Adirondack Mountains in Peekskill, NY. Diverse audiences have responded exceptionally well to their hoofty and outrageous songs while laughing along with lyrics that actually have something to say.
The three piece band features the dual assault of Scarlet Fever’s distortion-laden bass and Captain Vic’s driving guitar work, rounded out by the ferocious drumming of Charles Monroe. Each member’s unique personality shines through in their take no prisoner’s stage banter, always equally eager to amuse or taunt various audiences to stitches.
An autonomous band in the grand tuition of the late 80’s indie scene, this hardworking musical outfit books its own gigs, pays for its own recording, handles its own marketing, and builds it’s own crowd through relentless gigging, networking, and practicing.
