Our third show in Boston at Middle East proved to be lucky indeed - with pro level bands and a lot of young talent, the fans couldn't have chosen a better night to come see the live gig. If you're looking for a night of fresh new music, come see a live Battle show as we tour the country looking for the next big band to give that $1 million Bodog Music contract to!

Starting us off right, A City In Silence broke the show open with some really heavy material that was definitely improved from last show. Second, metal goth band The Shadows Smile conjured up a deep dark tone to their songs and got us all ready for the night ahead.

A hard rock band with a little punk thrown in, Covin looked and sounded really comfortable on stage and turned on a bunch of fans that had never heard them before. That's what we like to see! Next, great young punk-based rock band, Shelly Died Laughing featured killer harmonies and a cool, indie sound.

Fairhaven played smooth rock songs and showed the crowd some seriously solid vocals and dynamics. Up next, Fate Kills the Hero had great punk-driven rhythms and a unique groove.

Young indie rock band with style and presence on stage, Lovers and Thieves played great songs that will stand the test of time. Then, the lone hip hop act in a sea of rockers, T.N.T 's fresh vibes impressed the rock crowd with their excellent beats and rhymes.

Next, professional band with a killer sound, Cherry st have only improved since their days as a 2006 City Finalist. We're glad to see them again, and so was the crowd!

Pop-rock band with a mix of heavy and catchy melodies, Shryne creates a unique sound. Think Weezer meets Steely Dan meets Nirvana. Yeah, that's the sound! The Radio Knights played smooth piano-based rock. They were tight and ready to be a real contender in the competition.

The champs of the night were Cherry st and The Radio Knights, but there were so many great acts tonight that we were left wishing we could move more bands through to City Finals. We can't - but you can! Get online and get your Bodog Battle Wildcard vote in to help another great band get to the next level!

Thanks to Middle East for their support and to the fans and bands for making it all possible. Thank you everyone!
