Bio

The Shallows are a trio comprised of Nick Isenhower (vocals/bass) Johnny Houser (lead guitar) and Bryan Keeling (drums). It sees an exploration of their rock n roll influences with a grandiose flavor akin to artists such as Kings of Leon and Alman Brothers, while drawing on raw elements of The Black Keys and The White Stripes.

Working with producer Mark Rains (Shooter Jennings, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), The Shallows have created a soundscape that is both dynamic and ambient. Recorded in a small Hollywood studio, they managed to capture the true essence of their musical vision. With accompaniment from Mike Rielly (Greg Alman Band) on "When the Devil Collects His Due" and Ted Russell Kamp (Shooter Jennings) on "Long Time Coming".

Having spent the majority of 2009 touring the United States, the band gained experience playing in various projects everywhere from Austin to Seattle, and working in L.A. with local musicians. The trio gained a good sense of the music business. They have significantly increased their reputation as a formidable songwriting force and find their band and material highly anticipated by both industry and fans alike. Songs like “Long Time Coming” have been covered and used by Chad Calek and Paranormal State the popular show on A&E.

The Shallows have performed many shows, taking any musical opportunity that came their way, in venues which include performances at The Viper Room(L.A.) The Slowdown (Omaha, NE) ABATE Biker Rally(Algona, IA) and Coyote Ugly(Nashville, TN) Their music has also received radio support 89.7 The River 105.1 Channel Q as well as others.

The Shallows have a stage show that leaves audiences with the knowledge they were witness to an extraordinary rock n roll experience!
