"Classic Rock CD Introduction"

"Formed in Swansea two years ago, The Sheershock Revival are on a mission to create a 100 per cent rock'n'roll listening experience. No more, no less. The four-piece proudly claim to combine the swagger of Led Zeppelin with the showmanship of The Rolling Stones, augmented by the kind of twin-guitar lead work that hasn't been heard since Robbo and Gorham joined Thin Lizzy. The band's first full album, Electric Vibes is due out this year." Scott Rowley, Editor-in-Chief Classic Rock magazine, January 2006. - Classic Rock Magazine

"'Electric Vibes' Album Review"

"Revival by name, revival by nature. Swansea's Sheershock deal in pure classic rock. Very well produced- this 12 track LP recalls the likes of early Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy and even Led Zeppelin in it's groove-laden virtuoso performances. The lead guitar is assured and complex without being over-wrought - while Steve Williams' vocals are crisp, melodic and able to deliver fine choruses with ease. 'Mr Strange' is a boogie rock number that has a rock-disco feel akin to some of Guns'n'Roses 'Appetite For Destruction' tracks without the hubris. In terms of classic rock influenced recyclers - Sheershock Revival are in debt to Cream and Thin Lizzy while the Darkness ape Queen and Sweet. They might not get all the headlines or sales but theres a lot here for rockers of all ages to enjoy." by James McLaren, Sound Nation Magazine - Sound Nation, UK

"BBC Music"

This Swansea fourpiece wish it was 1970. Actually, they probably don't, as they wouldn't have a career. The Sheershock Revival exist in a place and time where patchouli oil competes with snakebite for precedence; they wield guitars that spew classic rock riffs and dress like they're in Free.

Don't think they're simply one-trick ponies though: the songs contained on their EP and LP released thus far (on Sonrise, also the home of Ipsofacto) are joyful scrumping trips through the past works of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, Thin Lizzy and a dozen other 'proper' muso bands.

Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Leftfield), the in-house producer at Swansea's Mighty Atom Studios, corralled the band's expansive sound on their debut LP, which was hailed by UK- and Wales-widc publications.

Bio

Formed in Swansea, UK, in 2004, The Sheershock Revival give us 100% Hard Rock with the swagger of Led Zeppelin, the Thin Lizzy lead guitars and the sheer showmanship of The Rolling Stones, which results in a live show to savour.

Brothers Steve & Andy Williams, along with Jonny Williams and Rob Jones played their midnight performance in a dark, smokey, packed basement club in Swansea. Everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong! Where other bands would crumble, these guys got on with the job and rocked out regardless - their spirit was tremendous and their performance was unstoppable. The band signed to rock-lovers Sonrise Records shortly after the show.

Sheershock love great music. Their main musical and cultural influences include classic 1970s artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi Hendrix & ZZ Top along with 1980s rockers U2, The Alarm & The Cult to name but a few, not forgetting popsters such as Justin Timberlake [it's just Justin], Duran Duran and Lionel Richie [no joke - they can all write TOP tunes!]

Sonrise Records have licenced their 5-track mini-album which was released on 28 February 2005 and are preparing to release the band's first studio album entitled 'Electric Vibes' in April 2006. Also, the band will be touring throughout 2006.
