Biography

Hailing from Marco Island, one of the few inhabited stretches of sand in Florida's 10,000 Islands, the Sheffield Crew explode with a style all their own. Combining spitfire hip-hop, infectious island rhythms, as well as hard-driving rock and bouncy ska,
the Crew are making a strong name for themselves within Florida’s growing reggae and ska scenes. Comprised of the fiery Chris Jacobs on vocals, the incomparable Danny "Splenda" Iaconelli on guitar and vocals, bong rattling bassist Steve, hard hitting drummer Shaun Jacobs, and mad man Mike D. tickling the ivories, singing harmony and pounding out percussion. This collection of some of the area's top musicians has already gained a devoted, often fanatical south florida fanbase.
After pressing and quickly selling 1000 copies of 2008's "Leaving Babylon" E.P, Sheffield are in the process of recording their 2nd full-length album. Known all over Florida for their high-energy shows, The Sheffield Crew have performed with such notable acts as The Van's Warped Tour 2010, Fishbone, Passafire, The Supervillains, Cas Haley, Kymani Marley, The SpamAllstars, Ky-enie, and too many others to name.
