Currently, we are preparing a small-scale release of our first EP, "Paradigm Shift". It is set to be 4 tracks, consisting mainly of songs written early in our collective career.
Since the recording of these songs, we have written several more, and we anticipate applying these to a full length LP in the near future (financial resources permitting).

"What is a 'Paradigm Shift'"? That was our most common response from listeners--that was before we changed our name.
The SHIFT began as an instrumental, psychedelic jam band of sorts, playing mostly in our basement and for house parties. Historically, every time we've had an opportunity to step up and make a name for ourselves, we'd lose a band member. It was usually a problem finding a consistent bassist. We've been through 5, and we're on our sixth, but never has that discouraged us. In fact, it usually works the opposite. Some of our most memorable tunes have been composed in the absence of a band member, and have even been the catalyst to revive the project. Yes, we've had our share of set-backs, but each has propelled us to a new level of proficiency and dedication.
These days, the most common response we get is "I've never heard anything like it", and "That's completely original". While some may interpret these kind of observations as negative, in this world of ever-changing musical tastes (and recycled pop-nonsense), we find these comments refreshing and inspirational.
Whether "Paradigm Shift", or "The SHIFT", the meaning still rings clear. We have aligned ourselves in an effort to adjust this paradigm of modern pop-culture music.
