The Shinola Troubadours of Possum Splendor perform traditional and original Old Time, Mountain Gospel, and Appalachian Folk inspired music. Love Songs, Spirituals, Gospel; Songs about working and about life; Hard-Times, Good-Times, and the funny things in between. They sing harmony duet together while Marcus plays his own handcarved guitars and Duke plays harmonica. They perform a variety of venues; everything from private events and theatres to old folks homes and childrens shows.
For many years they have been sitting around with friends and family playing music on the porch, but recently, as Marcus puts it, “We've been called to go out into the world and sing. There's nothing as special as making little kids dance and old timers smile. We sing because we love to and we're real thankful we can share it.”
Whether your five or fifty, It'll make you laugh, cry, dance, stomp your feet and clap your hands, and they love it especially when you sing along.
