What happens when three photo geeks meet at art school? The Shutter. The Shutter was formed in late 2004 when Mike and James met Kim in the digital photography lab at art school. The three began hanging out and soon became friends because of a mutual love of music and of course photography. Soon thereafter the band was formed. They were The Fauves (the wild beasts), they were F/64 (referring to aperture of course) and are now The Shutter. An appropriate name for three photo geeks turned rock stars.
