The Sidecars

They played their first gig at the Kirkland Teen Union Building in April 2011 and thought they might just have the right ingredients to make some quality music. They played the Old Redmond Firehouse and KTUB once more during the following months while writing songs every week. Their first record titled simply The Sidecars EP was recorded for less than $600 at KTUB Voyager Studio in under four days. Not fully satisfied with the record, Kevin and Zack recruited their longtime friend Marcus to play bass guitar before heading up to Western Washington University as Freshman.

They were overwhelmed with the magnitude of the music scene in the art-heavy town and decided to begin by playing at the weekly open mic night at The Underground Coffeehouse on Western's campus.
Since then, they have continued honing their sound, posting to youtube, and playing gigs in the Bellingham and greater Seattle areas. They are hard at work recording an album of higher quality right now as well coping with the psychological ramifications of continually writing in third person. Also, they go pretty wild at shows.
