Bio

Landing onto the music scene with a rich combination of Rock N Soul, The Sikes officially came together in late September of 2005. With little preparation and a five song set list, this foursome began to book shows immediately. The bands drummer, Billy (aka Billy Dangerous), was able to persuade venues to book The Sikes without a demo, which launched the band into an early performance overdrive. After their first couple of shows, The Sikes officially became a part of the local music scene.

The band began to gradually form in October of 2004 when drummer Billy Dangerous and guitarist Rob Klein met at an open mic night in Washington D.C. The two shared a common interest in the hard rock rhythms of classic rock and decided to exercise their craft with a jam session held once a week. After a few months, the boys recruited vocalist Donice Cully and bassist Craig Gingell. For a few months the band toyed with the idea of a fifth member, but collectively agreed to remain a powerful foursome. Each member of the final four brings a unique musical influence to the table creating The Sikes signature sound. The band is a tight combination of classic rock, funk, and punk with a Gwen of No Doubt sounding vocal styling that soars across each track. Reclaiming the emotional highs of music, The Sikes deliver a priceless performance at every show. Along with great music, their massive energy and aggressive stage performance will keep you coming back for more.

Currently The Sikes are recording with producer and Emmy award winning Jerome Maffeo, drummer for national recording artist Jimmy’s Chicken Shack. With much support from the local music scene, you can catch The Sikes rocking stages in and around the M.D, D.C Metropolitan area.
