With their 2005 debut soundtrack release, "Saint Christopher's Garden", The Silver Brothers, demonstrated a variety of talents. John Tenting, wrote the mystery thriller screenplay and along with his brother, Rick, wrote, performed and produced the entire soundtrack together. An unconventional, but, unique introduction to listeners.

"I'm Depending On You" received Honorable Mention in the 2007 Singer Songwriter Awards.

On Saint Christopher's Garden, Singer/Songwriter John Tenting wanted to produce a diary per se; each song written for a specific scene, moment or character in the story. This led to a diverse collection of material ranging from hard melodic rock, " Narimba's Plan", to instrumental pieces, "The Music Box Song" and "The Balled Of Saint Christopher's Garden".

John reflected on the original idea for the screenplay.

"Most people thought it was a religious theme, when in fact, it's not about religion at all. It's about something everyone on this earth needs...hope and faith."

Rick Tenting grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri and by the time he was 16, he was playing gigs in Gaslight Square. After moving to Los Angeles at 18, he's had the opportunity to play with likes of Don Henly and Dwight Twilley to mention a couple. His lead guitar work has been compared to greats like Clapton and Frampton.

Says Rick, "Those are two of my heroes, so , it always sends chills down my spine when someone says that".

You can hear the reason why on The Silver Brothers latest release, "I'm In Control". John's lyrics are a piece of advice to himself.

John said, "When nothing is going right and it just seems to keep getting worse, sometimes you have to give yourself a pep talk. That's what this song is about. It's an artificial resucitation, empowering yourself.". The tune is an infectious, soulful, rock, blues stroll with a groove that pulls you in.

The feel of their music, timber of their voices, their writing abilities, their instrumental prowess, their heart, soul and charisma can be felt in every note.

"It's important to be honest AND entertaining. I want the fans to relate and to love the song even more than I do."

The guitar driven energy of "Fresh Eyes" has summer release written all over it. The lyrics have already been awarded the coveted, International Poetry Society Editor's Choice Award. The lyrics have been published in the winter of 2007 in a coffee table book.

John says, "It's a surprise happy ending. I got chills when I finished these lyrics, and that doesn't happen all the time".

Rick and John's influences range from, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, U2, Elvis, B.B.King, to Peter Frampton, Elton John, and Frank Sinatra Present influences include, John Mayer, Puddle Of Mud, Foo Fighters, and in reality, too many others too mention.

The Silver Brother's recent successful shows at The House Of Blues Sunset Strip and Club 705. The rousing response to the old and new material is evidence why their web pages and links are blowing up.

John said, "I love it when the crowd sees two guys on acoustic guitars and think o.k. this is going to be mellow, and before the first chorus of "I'm In Control", they know this is something different, that they are about to be entertained.

Today Rick and John are THE SILVER BROTHERS
