Bio

Straight from the heart of Chicago's southeast side comes the latest edition to the windy city's rap scene, The Skwod. What started out as a mere group of friends that went to high school together has now turned into a young group of hit making entrepreneurs with unmistakable chemistry. The Skwod (Street, Knowledge, Wisdom, Order & Discipline) officially became who they are in the summer of 2004 when they turned a hobby into a business. More focused than ever 2010 looks to be a turning point for the Skwod as they continue to move forward after years of learning the business and “paying due’s.”

Together JaeOneder & Ka’Ron form a dynamic duo with a 1-2 punch of lyrical word-play and catchy chorus.’ Captivating most with their “new school” approach but “old school” foundation, these two set themselves apart from the rest. Many critics may view this philosophy as a gift & a curse, nevertheless, The Skwod doesn’t define themselves as making one kind of music, instead, they touch an array of topics that many can relate to.

With the help from Co-CEO/acting manager Mike "Mittens" Smith, the anticipation for their debut album, “The Path” is starting to build and it looks like teamwork is the key to all of The Skwod success.
