Anything I have done this far, I have created in my home with a lowend condenser mic, and a few other necessities. I tend to write a lot in my free time, and have released (to small circles) several albums under several names. Last year alone I released 5 albums of songs under Tyler Barker (and played local venues to support them), one punk album under the name The Rungs, and 2 more "produced" albums under my original name, The Slappy Folkas. I intend to keep writing as much as possible, and improve as a song writer and a performer.

I started playing guitar and writing songs three years ago, and I have written several, several albums, and have taught myself other instruments. From the point I started playing, I wanted to write concept albums, and unusual songs that don't fit nicely into genres. I try not to have one sound; I'm not a rock artist, or a country artist, my music is purely myself.
My influences are Weezer, Ok Go, Jeffrey Lewis, Noah And The Whale, The Killers, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles.
I love listening to songs that have strong lyrics, and that is usually my focus in writing, when performing I try to show as much of my emotions, and my self, as possible, whether it be serious, or for laughs.
