The Slowdown is an Alternative Pop/Rock band from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Band is made up of 4 guys who love to make, play, and listen to music. The Slowdown was started by lead vocalist Michael George in Washington, during 2007, as The Bombadil Project. The Slowdown’s sound has matured over time and developed into an alternative rock sound with a softer touch of piano and acoustic guitar on many tracks.
The band’s first album, “We are Godzilla, You are Tokyo”, released under their old name, achieved success throughout the northwest. After relocating to Tennessee and adding the bands two new members, they have begun working on the bands first full-length album, set to be released sometime this spring.
The future of this hard working band seems to be limitless. And with the positive response from the music off of their up coming album, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll be hearing a lot about this band in the 2010.
