The Socialsts

The Socialists have been a staple in the FL punk scene for over a year and a half now, and have torn up the country touring, playing shows with, and working with bands such as GBH, Less Than Jake, Outernational, 4 Past Midnight and more. their debut EP "Let's Start A Fucking Revolution" sold faster than the band's label (Brown Bag) could press them. Known for being partiers, many of The Socialists politically charged, insightful lyrics, coupled with singer/guitarist Johnny's tuneful, melodic voice and the entire band contributing harmonies, skillfull guitar solos, and the bands uncanny nack for giving interviewers/fan mags an earfull, have given the band a reputation as ballsy and offensive. Many other lyrics involve personal experiences such as drug use, unemployment, and sex. Though the brats can't seem to learn any mannors (see August 2010 issue of SKUM or November 2010 issue of Full Throttle) they are known for being warm, friendly, and genuinly fun people. The Socialists have made a name for themselves as a talented, new force in the punk scene, and the momentum is only growing by the second.
