The Solstice Reign sound is reminiscent of the Classic Rock sound of the 70s and 80s but with a modern contemporary style of today! Mellow and Southern Rock influences make up the rest of their original material creating a unique sound and vibe very much their own.

Biography

From West Palm Beach, Florida, Solstice Reign's popularity continues to grow locally and regionally. This 5 member rock band evokes the Classic, Southern and Mellow Rock sounds of the past with a new, contemporary style.

Originally formed as a Christian band in early 2007 by David Hietapelto, Keyboardist and Lead Singer who wrote most of the songs on their debuting CD, Solstice Reign changed direction and has transformed themselves into a modern, contemporary band with music and lyrics influenced by many different genres.

"Six Feet Under" is the band's first full length album released in early Nov. 2011 at the annual Deland Original Music Festival. Self produced, this ambitious band debuted their release to accompany their two previously released music videos, "Crash" and "Wasted Time" which can be seen on YouTube (and on this EPK).

Nominated in 2010 by the Songwriter's Showcases of America (SSA) for Band Of The Year, Song Of The Year (Back Roads) and Songwriter Of The Year (David Hietapelto), they reached the top 10 Finalists in all three categories. In 2011 the band was also nominated again for Band Of The Year, reaching the top 10 Finalist once again and another single from the album, "Live Together" was nominated for 2011 Song Of The Year by the SSA as well.

"Live Together" is already getting airplay with "Just Songs", a Canadian website for songs with social conscious themes from unsigned and Indie artists. It is also under consideration to be placed in a compilation CD by this production company to be distributed world wide. "Live Together" is also playing on 104Indie Radio L.A. and DigiVegas Podcast in Las Vegas.

Already having played in esteemed and popular events such as The Deland Original Music Festival, The Miami Music Festival and their hometown fair, the highly attended South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach to name a few,
Solstice Reign also plans on promoting their original music, music videos and debut CD in select venues and festivals in Florida in 2011 and then venture out to the mid Atlantic states, the east coast, southern states and the midwest in 2012. As they are released, the music videos will air on the band's YouTube, Facebook and Myspace fan sites as well as internet & TV stations that have expressed interest in showcasing them. Also, they will be appearing on internet radio and TV interview shows in the upcoming months.

Stay tuned for everything that has to do with The Solstice Reign

Lyrics

Live Together

Written By: David Hietapelto

Sometimes when I get tired of life's ups and downs,
I think of those less fortunate than I.
I try to keep it all into perspective,
Cuz if ya don't it will eat you up inside.

Well I see all kinds of people with no direction,
searching for their place in humanity.
Who wins the race, well it's not important.
Life's simple treasures are the ones that you get for free.

People think about what your're doing.
Does it fit into the natural way on earth?
Time will heal it, but very slowly.
How much do to you is the world that we live in worth?

How much to you is the world that we live in worth?
What kind of price would you pay...for God's green earth?
How much to you is the world that we live worth?
How much blood would you shed...to save this earth?

Sometimes when I get tired of working hard for nothing,
I'd like to give it all away and be released.
Unfettered from the greed of social order,
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease.

We've gotta save the air if we want to breathe.
We've gotta stop pollution if we want to eat.
We've gotta stop hating if we want peace.
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease

People think about what your're doing.
Does it fit into the natural way on earth?
Time will heal it, but very slowly.
How much to you is the world that we live in worth?

How much to you is the world that we live in worth?
What kind of price would you pay ...for God's green earth?
How much to you is the world that we live in worth?
How much blood would you shed...to save this earth?

We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease (how much to you?)
We've got to learn to live together or we'll cease.
