The Sonmen currently have two projects out, "Classic Collections Vol.1", which has classic gospel quartet songs like "Jesus Is Coming Soon", "You Sho' Do Need Him Now", "Sweet, Sweet, Spirit", "He Touched Me", and many more! Their latest project, "Timeless Hymns", has a lot of your favorite hymns like "When We All Get To Heaven", "Living By Faith", "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "Are You Washed In The Blood", and a beautiful piano medley by Jeff Perkins of songs about the cross. Our 20 year old bass singer, Aaron Perkins, has just released a solo project with The Sonmen singing back ground vocals! It features some new and old songs that feature our bass singer. Bio
The Sonmen started back in 1984 by Jeff Perkins, Oscar Perkins (Jeff's Father) Barry & Steve Woodruff and the late Gordon Steger. Their first album was "Homeward Bound". Within the next year, 1985, they won 1st place at the National Quartet Convention's Talent Competition. They continued to travel and sing till the early 90's when Jeff felt the Lord calling him to the Pastorate.
In April of 2009, the Sonmen are back, with original group member and founder, Jeff Perkins (baritone/piano), his son Aaron Perkins (bass), Mike Botts (lead), Dale Boreing (tenor); and Less "Buzz" Pilot (bass guitar).
The Sonmen love the Lord with all their hearts, and are looking forward to the things He has in store! Their goals are to see the lost saved, encourage the church, as well as the pastors. The Sonmen sing every Sunday morning that they are not booked at a different venue, at Landmark Baptist Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio.
