The Soul Flies

It began during the fall of 2005 in the local dive bars of Florence, Italy. Many pieces have come and gone since then, either cracking under pressure or fleeing from the adversity of life on the edge. Fortunately, at the core there is a recalcitrant, the gritty Nate Kantner, who was never very good, but became solid through cavalier resolve. Often performing solo, the Montana native uses his world worn voice and raw harmonica to communicate the essence of each song to the audience.

Still holding fast to his Italian influences, Nate now lives in Seattle, continuing to perform both solo and with a band. Live shows have included everything from originals, Beatles songs you forgot about, to even an Italian classic if you're lucky. Be sure to check often to see and hear footage from our shows online! A debut EP is also in production that will feature full band arrangements, giving Kantner’s songs the full lived-in sound that they warrant. The release is slated for late this year.
