In early 2008, this duo began writing sexy R&B songs to catch the attention of girls at small local shows. However, as friends began memorizing lyrics and more and more songs were recorded, The Sound of Love began attracting some real attention. Soon the band found themselves playing at venues throughout Edmonton and as far away as Vancouver. They also released a seven song EP entitled She's Beautiful in the early summer of 2008.
The Sound of Love's soulful vocals, tenderly crafted melodies, and infectiously memorable lyrics never fail to get the whole audience singing along and feeling the love. As the band pours out their hearts about the most beautiful girl at their former high school's tennis practice, to ex-girlfriends fooling around with other guys in a bathtub at a party, to getting it on in a McDonald's drive-thru, this talented young duo from Edmonton, Alberta set the mood for a funky fresh night of love whenever they hit the stage.
