The Speaking Tongues came together as a rock band in September of 2009, after Conrad, the lead singer, found a drummer who had finally fit his heart for making music. The two played together in several small venues in downtown LA until a bassist and an organ player saw them perform one night at the Dream Center and asked if they could join the band.
Immediately a wolf pack was formed. They started doing live shows in the Echo Park area and developed a following almost immediately, due to their explosive sound and hot rock power. When the Tongues played, people listened and kept on listening as the band brought them deep into the Holy place, up close and personal with loves raging fire.
Conrad, the lead singer, then began writing originals for the band and the initial EP was finished in June of 2010.
The music has a new taste to it that comes from a live performance power with the soul defining experiences of a down to earth rock group that travels to the land of the unseen.
