Bio

THE SPILLS are a 4-piece from Wakefield who met at school and bonded over a love of all things noisy and six-stringed.

In the autumn of 2011 the band released their critically acclaimed debut album, Occam's Razor, produced by Lee Smith and Jamie Lockhart at Greenmount Studios. Tracked predominantly live to vintage analogue equipment, the album deftly blended youthful rawness with polished guitar pop sensibility. The record saw the band gain attention from stations such as BBC 6music, XFM, and Amazing Radio, and share stages with bands such as Cloud Nothings, Cymbals Eat Guitars.

In Autumn 2012, after a year of live shows and writing, the album was followed by an equally well received limited split cassette tape with label mates, Runaround Kids on the newly re-spawned Bitching Cassettes. The Spills' track taken from this cassette was also featured on Big Scary Monsters' compilation of their favourite new bands for 2013.

The band have recently completed a new EP, Spooky Roller Disco, which is set for release Easter 2013, shortly to be followed by a second LP.

Other live highlights include Live At Leeds, Tramlines, Long Division and dates with Wild Beasts, PAWS and Eagulls.
