Aimee and Jamie met in 1998 while on tour as circus performers- she a tightrope walker, he an elephant wrangler... exhausted from the danger and depravity of circus life and one horrible accident involving both a tightrope and an elephant. (for the record they refuse to talk about said accident stating only "what goes on the road stays on the road") They decided it was time to follow their dream of seeing a million faces and rocking them all... so dance rock band was formed in 1999, albums were made, van was bought, roads were traveled, praise was heaped upon them, and indeed faces were rocked.
the Start is currently finishing work on their third full length album due out Spring 2007 on Metropolis Records.
They have toured with- Garbage, Weezer, Alkaline trio AFI, The International Noise Conspiracy, Auf der Maur, Head Automatica to name a few...
