Still working on that hot first release.

It seems today that finding musical acts is as common as finding a fast food stop on your street corner - The Status Vare transcend the endless static.

Past, present, and future - the ideas from these worlds are a constant presence in the sounds and songs that The Status Vare offer. Taking influences from a vast collection of musical styles as well as the experiences of modern life, the trio, comprised of Brian Heisey on fretless bass and keyboards, Kevin Kingsborough on drums and percussion, and Tyler McCollum on electric guitar, keyboards and vocals, have set their sights on "what could be" instead of "what already is."

Their debut release entitled "Three Electric Bears" has the raw sound and energy of a live show while retaining the qualities that make a studio album what it is. "Three Electric Bears" spans the spectrum with tracks such as "Petite and Sweet" - short in stature - yet with its tight riffs and structure that features a climatic ending, it has the weight of a goliath.

"Where The Pigs Hide" is a high-speed chase from start to finish. The predator: insightful lyrics that pontificate the questions we all hope to find answers for. The prey: chimey, syncopated riffs that are certainly sure of themselves.

Sitting at the end of the spectrum are the final tracks on the album. "The Clocktower at Armageddon" takes form using the mold created by the great rock epics of the past decades. The opening sequence sets the stage with its intense build-up backed by a story of spoken words with equal tone. With a chorus that reaches the highest of the highs, "Clocktower at Armageddon" has the instrumentation to match it. Brian's lead-like bass lines are matched with Kevin's exploration of the drum kit while Tyler joins in with soaring solos.

Mixing the tools and ideas of the modern musical landscape with everything that has led us all to the here and now, The Status Vare grow sonically and structurally every time they pick up their respective instruments. Stay in tune for news, photos, videos, show dates, and everything The Status Vare.
