"Music battlefield 2006: Wilf’s"

"Mississauga's 'The Steady Rollers' lived up to the name, opening Music Explosion's finale with a storming set of classic
Rock sensibility.

A quick sound check grabbed the audience's attention, while the band steadily rolled into opener 'Sunday Afternoon'. Guitar riffs reminiscent of Cream filled Wilf’s with a
Retro-rock atmosphere; singer Mike Appleton’s voice is equal parts Clapton and Morrison, which added to the nostalgic quality of The Steady Rollers music.

The band's set was full of lustrous wah-guitar solos courtesy of Hendrix-protégé Rob Seixas, enjoyed thoroughly by the audience as the band continued with ‘The Subway’ and ‘The Cage’. A tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn’s ‘Pride and Joy’ followed shortly after
as the band hit the peak of their performance, cementing their place as masters of the art of classic guitar-rock.”

Bio

The Steady Rollers live and breathe Rock 'N' Roll. Their driving, hard riffs and steady grooves will MAKE you shake your thang!

'The Steady Rollers' formed in early 2004 when bass player Danilo Teodoro-Brito and guitarist Luiz Seixas, moved to Canada from Brazil. When Luiz and Danilo added Mike Appleton and Gianmarco Fiacconi to the mix a fusion of Rockin' Blues, Funk was born! The Steady Rollers definitely bring something fresh to the table and never forget their roots when it comes to their music.

'The Steady Rollers' have accomplished a great deal in their three year career.
First of all, they came 1st place in both The Wilfred Laurier and Philip Pocock "Battle of The Bands" competitions (2006)!
Secondly, they've recorded two EP's which are always in popular demand at their LIVE shows!
Lastly, The Rollers have had the honour of playing great, Toronto venues, such as; Jeff Healey's 'Roadhouse', Club 279 (Hard Rock Cafe), The El Mocambo and The Opera House!

With all that they have gained 'The Steady Rollers' have lost something as well; a friend/ band mate. In the summer of 06 Danilo Teodoro-Brito could no longer stay in Canada and had to return to Brazil. The Rollers were torn but stood strong! Danilo's absence motivated them to come back even stronger! Luckily, after months of auditioning bassists they found a gem; ("Local hipster") Eric Gando. Gando is the new bassist for The Steady Rollers!

Since the beginning, The Steady Rollers have been playing to enthusiastic crowds in Toronto and have been able to form a solid fan base due to the energy and soul they unleash LIVE. The band members are grateful for all the help and positive feedback they've received.

"We're always looking for opportunities to progress musically and make our music accessible to the masses." - The Steady Rollers

The Steady Rollers are currently performing and polishing, fresh, ROCKIN' songs for a full-length album.
