"My Favortite Martin-Stick Martin Revealed"

The Stick Martin Show opens with the iconic 20th Century Fox fan-fare...and goes rogue from there. Defying categorizarion by genre, thier lyric-intense, seemingly free thought romp through hip-hop / rap / punk/ country/ rock/ blues/ jazz goes for a wild ride and takes the audience along for the fun of it. Never predictable and unlike any other local band, The Stick Martin Show is a unique, talented and extremly quirky group of guys. - Mayhem Magazine

Bio

After moving from Philly and NYC, Stick moved to Clearwater and started recording and formed his own band. Influences are Ween, Beck, Zappa, The Beatles and Pink Floyd. The band formed 2003 with bassist, songwriter Eric Harlow joining Stick. In 2009 drummer Gerald Pilkey permanantly joined. Voted Best Band in the Creative Loafing Best of the Bay 5 consecutive years. In early 2012, singer/songwriter Ace Williams joined the fray with sax, keys, percussion, harmonica. The band's music could be described as Avant Garde Hip-Hop with a mouthful of tounge in cheek lyrics. As part of the show, Stick jumps on 5 gallon buckets and chairs with a frenzy tribal beat while Gerald joins in, to which Stick jumps on the drum kit to kick it up a notch, then closes the song back on guitar and vocals.. In 2012 the band performed at the Redwood Run in California and is rebooked for this year as the closing act of the 1st Night as well as in the line up for the 2nd night opening for Brian Howe of Bad Company. Stick recently released a new EP titled "The Dodge Store".
