"Manager, Musicoz"

"The Stirring are the rock find of 2004! It is very rare indeed to see anyone who listens to a band becoming an instant fan - This happens with anyone who listens to The Stirring. These 5 young guys can rule the rock world"

- Pat Maloney

"Tsunami Magazine"

‘The Stirring are accomplished, passionate musicians who love what they do. With a commercial, emotional pop-rock sound their music is instantly
captivating and moving’

- Alana Hall

"96.1 FM THE HEAT"

“As a Music Director in commercial radio for over a decade now, I pride myself on being able to detect quality songs and potential hits. The Stirring original - Mesmerized is such a song. Lyrically and musically, it has the potential to be picked up by Australian Radio -well constructed, strong lyrics and vocals with a definite commercial feel. These guys are on the verge of something "much bigger". And they will only get better" - Alan Doblo, Music Director

"Sunshine Coast Daily"

‘The Stirring is a dynamic, young Australian band displaying incredible energy, creativity, talent and enthusiasm.
A band to watch out for’
- Mark Furler

"92.7 MIX FM"

“It is with great pleasure that I recommend The Stirring.
These boys have a great commercial sound and are very impressive to meet. Their on stage chemistry is infectious, and they are terrific musicians. At 92.7 MIX FM on the Sunshine Coast we recently had the pleasure of 'The Stirring' live in the studio, and received great feed back about their song. We look forward with great anticipation to the future of The Stirring” - Caroline Hutchinson

"Producer/Engineer"

‘Some songs grab you because of the great hooks, other’s because of the musicianship and energy of the band. The Stirring will rock you, captivate you then drill down inside you and smack you on the butt of your soul. It’s an experience.
There’s only one way to describe the future of The Stirring: standing room only’ - Matt Bodman

"National Event Co-ordinator"

‘Their music elevates rock to an almost classical form fusing emotion, pop sensibility, euphoric crescendo and intimate sincerity leaving the listener vulnerable and engrossed in the sound that The Stirring brings.
Their live performance is nothing short of breathtaking. I feel sorry for the band that follows them. I humbly suggest you take the time to consider The Stirring’ - Mikel Glinatsis

'Big, bold sound with a singer that puts heart and soul back into modern day rock n' roll'

Brighton's Juice 107.2

As of early 2006, Australian band The Stirring have based themselves in Brighton UK. With a hunger to become a successful international rock band, it's head's-down-hard-work that has led them to become one of the most well known independent bands in Brighton in under a year.

The Stirring is Nathan Ironside (vocals/guitars), Dan Smith (lead guitar), Blair Wilson (Bass/vocals), Simon Christopher (Keyboards/Guitar) and Ashley Moller (Drums). With all 5 members having long term musical relationships, The Stirring is a solid long term unit poised for a breakthrough.

The group was previously known as Audience in Australia, and garnered some serious attention in their homeland before making the leap to gain international recognition.

Audience won the Best unsigned rock band and Festival Music Publishing awards at the prestigious Music OZ awards in 2004, beating over 6000 other competition entries. The awareness for the band led to several offers from independent labels, major production companies and even some serious interest from major labels. Turning down these offers, the band opted to spend more time developing their sound and soon after made the move to the UK with a goal of being noticed by the international music market.

Facing the issue that a band from the 70's called 'Audience' had regrouped and had rights to the name 'Audience' in the UK... 'The Stirring' was born.

So far the word of mouth has spread fast and the band has had to work hard to catch up to the buzz that is starting to build. Now the band is regularly putting on self-promoted shows to crowds of 150-380 around the Brighton area. The singles 'Something Crazy' and 'So this is how it feels' are getting regular airplay on local radio such as Brightons 'Juice Radio' (The Damo & Ace show & Drive time), and 'BBC Southern Counties'.

Recently the band has been offered a record deal from a successful independent label based in the USA. The song 'Something Crazy' has made it to the final of one of the ISC (International Song writing Competition). It must be time for the industry to start paying attention.

The Stirring have a clear vision to see their music reach the public. All 5 members are in their 20's and committed to share their passion for music with anyone and everyone who will listen. On ambition alone you could see this band going places, but the music speaks for itself. Listen and enjoy The Stirring....
