Bio

The Stone Pines are looking ahead to 2012 as a breakout year. After recording their last CD “Goodbye Devil” (April 2011) at the Warehouse Studios with producer/engineer Eric Mosher (Franz Ferdinand, AC/DC, Chickenfoot), the guys are picking up where they left off and heading back into the studio to record their first full length album, set for release in Spring 2012. The band is following up the release with a two week Western Canada tour.

Part Rock, part Blues, and with a hint of Reggae, The Stone Pines are tenacious about creating a new brand of soulful classic Rock and Blues with a wide range of sound and energy. Josh Larsson (Lead Singer), Ryan Krumins (Lead Guitar), and Corey Fenton (Rhythm Guitar) have a longstanding history playing music together, and were excited to reform the band in early 2010 after a long hiatus from their previous reggae-rock band, Thornbird. They were soon joined by Clark Buchanan on bass and "Slick" Tim Watson (James Byrnes, Sam Roberts) on drums and the new band was complete.

The Stone Pines set themselves apart through hard work and unique songwriting. With songs that deal with the high, lows, and struggles of life, the band engages its audience with an energetic live show that has allowed them to play at some of the best venues Vancouver has to offer, including an appearance at the 2011 Grey Cup Street Festival Main Stage opening for Kyprios, Bend Sinister, and The Dudes.
