The Stove

The Stove

BandEDMAvant-garde

Live Trip-Hop duo! The Stove is extremely haunting with hypnotically dark rhythms. Fronted by songstress Kristen Muirhead and accompanied by Eduard Glukhov DJ/Producer, The Stove is an artistically futuristic combination of organic and electronic sounds like trip-hop, jazz, dub step and jungle.

Biography

Exploration of sound and innovative collaboration of music is the philosophy behind The Stove. Originally formed in 1997, producer Eduard Glukhov evisioned a single cell orchestra, creating off of hardware oringinal basslines and drum patterns. The Stove is nearly uncatagorizable because their sound ranges from trip-hop to jazz to ambient to jungle. Needless to say, they are extremely haunting with hypnotically dark rhythms. Fronted by songstress Kristen Muirhead, The Stove relies on her muse-scream/siren-dream/angel-cream voice with beautifully integrated harmonies. The Stove often features rotating members like Katya Murafa, a classically trained violinist who delicately decorates the music with her eastern European gypsy accents. Deeply influenced by Aphex Twin, Portishead, Ninja Tune, Nine Inch Nails, Tori Amos and Bjork. The Stove is an artistically futuristic combination of organic and electronic sounds!!!

All We Need

Written By: K. Muirhead

I see You walking down the street
I started talking to see if you'd meet
Me for a drink or just to relax
I promise not to
Not to hold back
Hold back

I'm gonna make this easy
Love is All We Need
I've never felt so needed
Feeling so complete
So complete

I want to touch you
That's no lie
Move into me closer
I won't bite
Just follow your heart
And you will see
That it will lead you
Lead you to me
To me

I'm gonna make this easy
Love is All We Need
I've never felt so needed
I'm feeling so complete
So complete

Hoodie and My Headphones

Written By: K. Muirhead

When I'm on the streets
I don't feel any pain
I've got my
Hoodie and My Headphones
And I'm walkin' through the rain
It's like the water's flowin'
Like the blood in my veins
And I remember where I'm going
Yes I know why I came

I came to take back
What I thought was mine
And baby boy you've crossed that Line for the very last time
And as for your appologies
I'm gonna decline
Because from this day forward
I'm gonna be fine
And I'll continue to reach
Yes I'll continue to shine
Until my light transends into
The greater devine
I'm exploding with the notion
That you've taken my devotion
And exploited my emotions
Just to stir up a commotion
But I won't let cha
Let cha get the best of me
I've locked my heart into a safe
And I've thrown away the key
And one day your gonna realize
You really set me free
That you've lifted up my veil
And you've really helped me see

That when I'm on the streets
I don't feel any pain
I've got my
Hoodie and My Headphones
And I'm walkin' through the rain
It's like the water's flowin'
Like the blood in my veins
And I remember where I'm going
Yes I know why I came

I came to understand why
Your hearts been so untrue
Was it something that I said
Was it something that I do
For me there was no question
I'd give my life for you
But with you there's just deception
Did you think I had no clue
But one day there rose a flower
In the garden that we grew
But it never stood a chance
No it never fully bloomed
There was a visable attraction
But there's physical distractions
And you can do the fractions
'Bout sexual satisfactions
But I won't let cha
Let cha get the best of me
I've locked my heart into a safe
And I've thrown away the key
And one day you're gonna realize
You've really set me free
That you've opened up my eyes
And you've really helped me see

That when I'm on the streets
I don't feel any pain
I've got my
Hoodie and My Headphones
And I'm walkin' through the rain
It's like the water's flowin'
Like the blood in my veins
And I remember where I'm going
Yes I know why I came

I don't feel no pain
I don't feel

So Real

Written By: K. Muirhead

Never make mistakes
Like this again
I've learned my lesson
You'd think still I'm slipping
In the darkness
I'm spiraling down
To the center

Do what you must but
Just know that
I've been in your shoes
And I'll be the one you can trust
Only now you must choose
Take what you wish
But just make sure that you
Leave me some
I've come undone and I feel
That you've gotta find out
For yourself that this is So Real
This is So Real

Can't you see
What I'm doing to myself
For so long
That I can't feel it anymore
But what I'm saying
Is it's been so hard
To let you go but

Do what you must but
Just know that
I've been in your shoes
And I'll be the one you can trust
Only now you must choose
Take what you wish
But just make sure that you
Leave me some
I've come undone and I feel
That you've gotta find out
For yourself that this is So Real
This is So Real

Never let you go
No I'll never let you sink
Even though you know
I'm on the brink of
Falling from the stars
And opening my scars
But no I have you in my arms
And I will sing until you've
Fallen fast asleep
And in my heart I'll keep
You safe inside of me
You will live forever
Never let you go no
I'll never let you sink
Even though you know
I'm on the brink so

Do what you must but
Just know that
I've been in your shoes
And I'll be the one you can trust
Only now you must choose
Take what you wish
But just make sure that you
Leave me some
I've come undone and I feel
That you've gotta find out
For yourself that this is So Real
This is So Real
