Bio
As a young child, I wanted to be Micheal Jackson. All I wanted to do was sing and dance, and be a magical creature from another world. That seemed like a good plan.
Now, I still have that dream, just not the part about being the King of Pop. Although my moon-walk is not half bad.
If I had to categorize my sound it would be soul folk music. I have been greatly influenced over the years by powerful women like Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Sarah Mclachlan, Ani Defranco, Kate Bush and many others. Deep and moving male artists such as Peter Gabriel, Seal, Mathew Good and Leonard Cohen have inspired my growth as a spiritual poet and songwriter.
For the last 2 years I have taught myself guitar in order to accomanpy myself, but my real talent is in my voice. While I love the solo acoustic feel, I do hope to branch out with a full band in the coming years, in order to experience every aspect of musical potential.
I know my soul purpose is to sing praise and celebration for life and all creation. My music is felt by the spirit that flows through it. When I sing, my heart is open, and my love comes from a source so much greater than myself. Of that I am sure.
If you have the spirit, let's hear it!
Other than a singer, I am a healer and a counsellor. I live to help others, and music and art are an integral part of healing this world. My songs are about the infinite potential within every moment and every cell. They are also about the pain, the loss and the confusion that comes with evolving rapidly in such a fragmented world.
When I first started singing as a very young child, I could see how people recieved me with joy and healing.
I am healing myself and the world around me, one song at a time.
