Raised on the music of such masters as Beethoven and Brahms, composer Doug Machiz has an ear for musical drama. He is always searching for that epic musical climax that truly brings the listener to a moment of contentment and bliss. After years of exploring the vast array of musical genres existing today, Doug has the tools to create something fresh and exciting.
Most of his conscious life to date has been spent mastering the cello, and this, along with his thirst for musical diversity, sets him apart from the rest of the flock. The music is filled with breathtakingly gorgeous textures of layered cello, sun-drenched samba beats, and cutting edge electronic sound scapes. The listener is drowned in sonic beauty and an irresistible urge to move to the music.
While much of the song crafting happens on the laptop, the live performance is an electrifying collaboration of musical masters from various backgrounds. Ally Mcginley, drummer/percussionist/vocalist/guitarist, is a multi-talented Berklee grad with a warm, character filled voice, and bad-ass drum chops to boot.
