Bio
The Stress take inspiration from 60's Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae, as well as from a variety of far-flung influences reaching through soul, British-invasion, blues, folk, and jazz. The band takes pride in their ability to write songs that range from self-conscious to world-conscious.
The Stress formed through a series of lucky coincidences. After a period of writing and developing their sound, the band released the E.P. Muk! Muk! in June 2009.
