THE SUFFERING FUCKHEADS
(Sunset) Fetching moniker aside, these jazz-punks are no dummies. Forged from the minds of some of the city's most progressive players (including members of Crack Sabbath, Quasi Nada, and Zony Mash), the Suffering Fuckheads purvey a brand of seizure-inducing chaos that would be a fitting soundtrack for a serial-killer rampage or an acid overdose. Highly recommended for rockers who "don't get jazz" (provided you don't mind waking up in a straightjacket or the electric chair). HANNAH LEVIN

Bio
The Suffering Fuckheads are an all-star band of Seattles finest forward-thinking jazz musicians. Call it experimental, free, jazz-punk, or what have you, The Suffering Fuckheads music is a lethal cocktail of skronk and blues, post- bop coupled with turbulent blast-beats, and tenderyet-skewed ballads (Beautiful Love) along side innovative band originals (Bar Slut).
The Suffering Fuckheads are led by Hammond B 3 organist and Seattle music scene fixture Ron Weinstein (Crack Sabbath, Suicide Jack) and also include drum freak Mike Peterson (Sean, Apes of Wrath), guitar titan Tim Young (Zony Mash, The Youngs), trumpet leviathans Jay Roulston (Quasi Nada, Swamp Dweller) and Thomas Marriott (Marriott Bros)and saxophonists Craig Flory (Combo Craig, Skeriks Syncopated Taint Septet) and Greg Sinibaldi (Frieze of Life, Cipher).
The Suffering Fuckheads are not sonic wallpaper.
They are not going to behave and play background music.
They are not going to play your next shitty dinner party.
They are not going to play your wedding, but they might do your divorce.
