The Suits

BandRockBlues

If the British mod sound of the 60's was infused with 2012's electric indie rock scene, you would find the quartet that make up The Suits, along with their 5-piece horn section. Selling out LA's historic venues show to show, their dedicated following proves true to the hi-energy sound of the Suits.

Biography

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, 16 year old August Eve Kotzen grew up around music all her life. With former Poison/Mr. Big guitarist, Richie Kotzen as her father, August pursuing music at an early age was inevitable. Her influences range from Barbera Streisand and Aretha Franklin, to songwriters like Lou Reed and Paul McCartney.

Next up is 17 year old, Fender endorsed Andrew Wells on guitar. He has been playing since the ripe age of 8 after hearing Eddie Van Halen play Eruption. Since then, however, his influences have changed greatly to guitarists like Son House, Robert Johnson, and modern songwriters like Alex Turner and Jeff Tweedy.

With all of these influences as well as a shared love for 60's soul, August and Andrew, along with a powerful rhythm and horn section have come together to form The Suits. If The Suits were to be compared to bands of our generation, they would most easily be Fitz and the Tantrums, Arctic Monkeys, and the Black Keys. With an eclectic repertoire of high energy, sad, and care-free indie music that make up the sound of the 2000's all with a vintage tint, The Suits will put on a performance that will have you begging for more.
