Currently in the studio recording our first singles for release on 45rpm vinyl. We have some demos that have received airplay on Los Angeles and Orange County based radio stations KPFK and KUCI, as well have streamed on internet radio station Funk Republic Radio.

Influenced by the masters of the style from the past and the modern day, including: Qunicy Jones, Jimmy McGriff, The Meters, Isaac Hayes, and The Poets of Rhythm. The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble mixes soul jazz, cinematic soul, funk, and rare groove music to create a super fun and heavy live music experience. Screaming vintage Hammond Organ and vibey Wurlitzer Electric Piano. Combine that with soulful flute, trumpet, tenor and bari saxes. All mixed together with a hard grooving rhythm section, you'd swear you were transported back in time to a movie set from the early 1970's.
