Material: The Swansons are an amalgamation of retro and modern pop rock with a twist of country. Their sound makes for some fun tunes, but the appeal may not reach past a niche audience. That isn’t to say there isn’t a market for the group to cater to.
In fact, much of their music would be a great contribution to a soundtrack. The song “Where Did Everybody Go” is a dead ringer for a teenage romantic comedy, and the saloon-style “Country This” would be suitable for a show such as Hart of Dixie. ‘Country This’ is the Swansons third album to date and is the follow-up to their independent release, ‘Good Day’ which was released in 2016. ‘Good Day’ was met with very positive reviews and its accolades included a “Producers Choice Honors” award in Hollywood for “Independent Album of the Year.” This year, 2017 Joe and Angie Finley were recognized as “Live Performers of the Year” by the Producers Choice Honors and were featured performers at their annual ceremony in November of 2017 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood CA.
The Swansons transition in to country music has been a fairly smooth and sensible one for them. They are a story telling band who have seemed to have found their audience in country music while not losing any fans along the way. The Swansons are a husband and wife alternative country pop rock duo. We make our records in Nashville Tennessee and are fortunate to work with some of the best players in country music today. Legendary guitarist Brent Mason leads the pack with his distinguished style and amazing technique. The Swansons producer Bill Watson has assembled a team of musicians that collectively represent this NEW BRAND of country music. Joe and Angie Finley started this musical journey together in 2012 and to date have recorded five albums. The Swansons last release, "Country This" was our first ever country record. It was well received and reviewed and helped pave the way for our latest album, "BAM!" Country is where our heart is and we plan on making this kind of music indefinitely. "Country This" was recognized with a "Producers Choice Award" and a "Hollywood FAME Award" in 2018. The Swansons, "BAM" has been awarded "Outstanding Country Album" at this years event. The Swansons music is unique and user friendly. It is non-discriminatory and intends to try and please everyone. We have had the great honor of opening for many national acts, some iconic. Wayne Newton, The Motels, Missing Persons, Berlin, The Sweet, CTA, Pato Banton, and Gary Puckett just to name a few. No matter what the style the Swansons seem to be a perfect fit. We have performed all over Southern California as well as shows in Nashville, Chicago and Las Vegas. The Swansons are currently working on a NEW album while promoting our first single off of our current release "BAM." We are interested in performing all over the United States and are pursuing touring opportunities to do so. The Swansons also own Golden Goose Entertainment which is our publishing company. We have a catalog of songs that we are shopping for various deals and opportunities.
