Bio
Once in a generation a band appears suddenly, seemingly from out of nowhere. Streaking like a comet through the sky, they infuse the world with fresh sounds and brighter visions. With songs that transcend time and lyrics that go beyond the trivialities of earthly existence, these artists spark a fresh movement.
In early 2002, the songwriting team of Kai (vocals) and Joe (guitar, synthesizers) composed their first song, 'Marilyn.' Combining electronic music with an infectious pop twist, they succeeded in creating tunes with a universal appeal. An impressive roster of self-produced songs soon followed: 'Circles for Hearts,' 'Realign' and 'Trini' were proof positive that The Switch were heading straight for the top. In 2004 star drummer Dan arrived, bringing their rhythms to life on-stage. Matt arrived shortly after, locking down the bottom end with his talents on the bass. Electrifying audiences wherever they go, The Switch strike a delicate balance between computerized beats and the youthful freedom of pure pop energy.
The Switch play pop songs without pretension, creating art in the air. Their unique blend of intellect and passion, discipline and spontaneity, mysticism and sex appeal saturates the soul. The Switch represent the possibility of making a difference in a world where the individual listener is feeling increasingly powerless. They breathe new life into the suffocating shallowness and artistic emptiness polluting our airwaves.
It is time to turn them on.
