The Talks from Hull, Yorkshire, mix the attitude of Punk,Reggae and rock with a few pop sensabillities to make a new sound with the inspiraton of great 70s artists like The Specials, The Beat, The Clash and The Police to name a few.

Biography

The Talks formed in July 2006 after Jody and Pat spent six months writing and recording together in a stinking bedroom studio. The band began touring in October joined by Iain Allen on bass and Richie Lovelock aka Titch on drums.

With the new songs The Talks have been touring the UK playing alongside Neville Staple from The Specials, The Beat, The Maccabees, Reverend and the Makers, The Vibrators, and The Tenderbox at some of the UKs worst and best venues, and festivals incl Glastonbury and the Carling Weekend, Leeds leading the Talks to have a brilliant Live reputation around the UK and very solid fanbase which is reflected in the possitive comments and the consistantly high level of plays and profile hits on the bands Myspace. They have also received great comments from the likes of Alan Mcgee, Neville Staple and Ranking Roger, and were made top friend of Radio 1 dj Chris Moyles, and recieved much radio support from Steve Lamac.
