"Hard Eight Review"

The newest acquisition is The Teague Stefan Band, a classic three man blues rock format. Teague Stefan is a singer and described guitarist extraordinaire and the composer of what he self describes as a psychedelic blues rock. That psychedelic remains limits echo really especially till strategic placed, is classic blues rock the hoofdmoot, Ribbed, in which you hear sometimes Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, sometimes Robin Trower, Robben Ford or Joe Bonamassa and sometimes the whole blues rock genre. The guitar work with many wah-wah is soulful, takes customary is bassist Mike Burney more space then in the genre and forms with drummer Art McConnell a reliable rhythm section. With the level appeared album "Hard Eight", becomes the pressing time that this trio with home harbor Orlando, Florida, what more acquaintances will get in our low countries. In America the band is already immoderately popular and step they many on in uitverkochte halls and festivals. By the hearing of this new disc understand you already fast about which. The band plays overwhelming and convincing and has their very own sound. That last one comes across well through the unique line-plain fizzy drink of the trio and the song material that of beginning till end strength is, and in which the influences of theirs already quoted examples vague to come to the front. Conspicuously at this strong disc not only the total eigengemaakte numbers, that Teague Stefan written resembled to be the body, is, but also the good line in this disc. The most classic elements find be present we back on a large number of numbers on the disc, spun out pieces with a blues rock impact meanwhile also the lamenterende song of Teague amply. On the slow "A Broken Word" we find Teague at his best. Through the tremendous solo we hear is what a tremendous guitarist he actually is. Uitschieters its certain the explosive more open "Crawl To You", the rocking "Victoria", the impressive "Sweet Angel" and the powerful 'festival' afsluiter "Taxman". With this Teague Stefan is well clear that it for this reason a large talent goes, this is well not surprising that he a lot of years as sideman functioned by North Carolina Blues legend, Chuck (Dr. Blues) Beattie. Only straight about that certainly also the other two members not out. "Hard Eight" is with that a whole fine and complete disc become for all guitar lovers, a disc that self certainly can measure with all others from this genre. "Hard Eight" may seen become then also as a disc of which I had hoped that that are made will yet: "Redefining The Blues", as they describe it self, in every case, blues rock for everybody that once out are or want to go her roof. Successes insured. - www.Rootstime.be

Bio

Teague has been playing guitar since the age of 16, starting out as a sideman for North Carolina Blues legend Chuck “Dr. Blues” Beattie and his band Blues By Design. Teague later moved on from that group and into the state Florida where he began molding his guitar craft in the studio and on the stage at many local bars. He has since brought his musical ideas, songwriting and phenomenal guitar playing to the front of his own group. A 1970’s inspired Blues/Rock power trio that plays with fire and intensity every night and brings audiences to their feet throughout the state of Florida. Teague just released his first full length album “Hard Eight” in early November. Recorded at Phat Planet studios in Orlando, Florida, the album is a recreation of the live show that Teague brings to the stage at each venue. This is a stripped down power blues record that is reflective of his musical influences such as Billy Gibbons, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Bo Diddley, Freddie King, and Eric Clapton. This spring the young guitar slinger will get a chance to put his skills on display at one of the premier Blues Festivals in the Southeastern U.S. as he will be on stage at the Springing the Blues Festival in Jacksonville, Florida. The future looks bright for Teague Stefan as he continues to spread his infectious brand of straight ahead guitar, all the while “Redefining the Blues”.
