Brand new band out of Adelaide- The Teahouse fire- is about the hit Australia's festival scene.
A soulful mix of folk, blues and country with the occasional burst of gypsy or gospel to suit the mood. Evocative melody teamed with honest soulful songwriting, the beguiling Deb Tapfield, (vocalist) wears her heart on the outside. captivating the crowd with universal stories of life, loss and love.
The songs are sometimes funny, often emmotive, and bittersweet, showing both a strong and vulnerable personality.
Steve Salvi, exceptional guitarist, has worked with Sia Furler and was involved with writing and performing the soundtrack of Rolf De Heres iconic movie "The Tracker."
Influences are varied and range from Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Band, Tom Waits, Gillian Welch, Lucinda Williams not to mention the greats, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, BB King etc.
