OTR: What does OnTheRise mean to you?
TT: Emerging artists coming up on their own and bringing awareness to their craft.
OTR: Where did the name Temper Twins come from?
TT: (Timmy) Me and Jimmy both have backgrounds in writing and production and are the main ones in the studio and while we are a lot alike we are still two creative minds with different ways of interpreting a song and we tend to bump heads a lot, “Temper Twins”.
OTR: What is the vibe and direction of Temper Twins?
TT: It is a live band, all organic with a club/rock feel. We want to make music DJs can remix and something people can groove to…a mix of pop and rock.
OTR: What are some of the bands influences?
TT: We try not stick with one genre of music and a definite influence on the band as a whole is the artist Prince because of his diversity and artistry and ability to reach the audience on different levels. But individually the band comes from different backgrounds of music: Timmy(R&B), Jimmy(Heavy Metal), Trev-Sonic(Funk), and Jay Bones(Punk Rock Indie).
OTR: Who are some people you would like to collab with in the industry?
TT: The list would go on and on but a few are Timbaland, MUSE, Maroon 5, Lady GaGa(of course), Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Luke, Mstrkrft, and 9 inch Nails.
OTR: Tell me about the project you are currently working on.
TT: We are in the studio none stop working on our debut record with ARG/Universal Records. We are just in the preproduction stage and recording demos. We have been in the studio working with Calvin Gaines, writer/producer for Lady GaGa, and Nokio of Dru Hill.
OTR: What are the goals within the upcoming year for the band?
TT: To get the record finished and hit the road to build our fan base.
OTR: What are some of the things you guys do outside of music?
TT: Jimmy is a personal chef and feeds the band well while we work…and actually thats our bargaining deal when we are out on the road, a free stay for a personally professionally cooked meal lol. Jay Bones goes to school for music production and Trev-Sonic teaches guitar lessons. Timmy is a studio head and is fortunate enough from his prior success to be able to just work in the studio constantly.
OTR: What do you guys do to bond?
TT: We are total gear heads so most of the time we are in music stores checking out equipment, we go out to shows to see what is keeping the crowds attention and see what people are grooving to, and we karaoke lol. Jay Bones is the most entertaining when it comes to karaoke.
OTR: What advice would you like to give to other artists OnTheRise?
TT: KEEP MOVING… don’t let anything/body detour you. Do what you do, the best of your ability, it its good… people will find you.

Temper Twins is a 4 piece pop/rock/hip hop band hailing from Pennsylvania and Ohio and working out of NYC. The band consists of members: Timmy Temper: Lead Vox/Guitar, Jimmy Temper: Drums/Programming, Jay Bones: Bass/Vox, and Trev-Sonic: Lead Guitar. The talent of this band is unmeasured. All masters of their craft, Temper Twins incorporates live stomping instruments with a hint of synth. Temper Twins was formed as vocalist Timmy Temper and Drummer Jimmy Temper, then working together with a different band signed to Capitol Records, decided that they wanted to branch out and play something they felt was more their taste and style. They then began writing and recording songs in Jimmy's studio and realized...they were really on to something special. They then scoured the region, holding auditions to find the right players who not only could handle the load of the music, but who also could bring a new element and their own unique style to the band. After many months of searching, Jay Bones and Trev-Sonic were clearly the missing pieces. With the members all in place, Temper Twins hit the studio, recording songs in Jimmys studio as well as taking frequent trips to NYC to work with multi-platinum Grammy and Billboard Award winning writer/producer Cal 'Sci-Fidelity' Gaines of Lady GaGa fame. With Jimmy Temper holding the reigns as producer on the project and 'Sci-Fidelity' adding his expertise and ear, the guys recorded their debut EP 'Temper Twins' and are ready to strut their stuff for the world.
