THE TEMPORARY THING "The Temporary Thing" CD
reviewed by Mary Bond

This band is flawless. I know, how dare I say something so extreme? But, really- they are truly something special. The music flows so beautifully. The lyrics: poetic, gorgeous, raw, true. The music: perfect. They have definite folk-pop influences, ala Belle and Sebastian. They even remind me a bit of Wiskey Biscuit, not in sound, but unique style. There is an enchanting 1960's sound to them as well- you know that saying -if I knew then what I know now- they encapsulate and apply this to the present. Do you get my drift? They seem to know what was good then and incorporate it with the now. These guys are seriously talented. It’s mind blowing. I am even interviewing them- next month- so watch out for that and in the meantime, you must get a copy of this CD for yourself! You just can’t be disappointed - unless you are maybe totally ignorant to great music. Stand out songs are: "Tan Line Blues" and "This Ain't Love" and "Anyway's The Same" and "You, Me, And A Bottle of Whiskey" and "She Always Gets Her Way".
