Bio
The Tender Hips consist of Aidan O'Neill (vocals), Will Lynn (guitar), Hugh Reilly (bass) and David Carr (drums).
They primarily play dark, country inflected pop music combined with dense, often abstract lyrical content hinting at personal heartache and life experiences. The band have gained a reputation for energetic and engaging live performances as well as a quirky sense of humour.
The Hips have drawn comparisons to early REM, the Jayhawks, Matthew Sweet and Giant Sand, amongst others.
The band have recorded two self released EPs (A Taste of Bitter Love, Living's Easy) and have played gigs across London and also in Ireland.
