The Terks have only been a band for five months, but in that time have played 15 shows, recorded their first studio album, and received rave reviews from all over the world, including one from former Rolling Stone editor and Chicago Sun Times critic Jim DeRogatis. Their music has mass crossover appeal as both fans and critics have compared their sound to R.E.M., Pearl Jam, The Beatles, The Eagles, and The Byrds. Their first album combines fist pumping anthems ("Good Old Days," and "the Dream is Still Alive") Melodic pop, ("Magic in the Night") and Country rock, ("Black Lung"). Their sound is so accessible that they registered 68 likes out off 100 song plays from a brief promotion on Last FM.
Anthemic songs, driving guitars, captivating melodies, and poetic lyrics-the Terks connect the past and future of great music to inspire the people to renew their marriage with Rock and Roll.
