"review by road records (March 2006)"

"The debut four track ep from this irish based five piece outfit, and its a rather beautiful collection of very very mellow electronic pop sounds, something similar to a cross between postal service and lali puna with its clever use of electronic sounds mingling with live guitars, tape loops, cello and brass, a very refreshing sound."

"Leagues o' Toole (May 2006)"

"It was a Galway based group called The Terribles that stole the limelight this week.
For me The Terribles have come out of the blue with a lush and dreamy pop sound. They have lots of admirers too as people were texting in from all over the country to vote for The Terribles. Their Myspace page explains their debut EP Mistake: Do Over is available to buy in the Rough Trade shops in England, they've received Canadian airplay, yet don't appear to have played a show in Dublin yet. That makes The Terribles all the more appealing. Good luck to The Terribles." - Clare People

Bio

Based in Dublin, but originally from Donegal. The Terribles are inspired by the sometimes lo-fi yet glorious indie pop/rock of bands like Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, Guided By Voices, Beck and Stereolab.

After the release of their debut ep, Mistake Do Over (March, 2006) they have been championed on Today FM by Alison Curtis and were awarded "Rising Artist of the Week" on Tom Dunne's Pet Sounds. The band have recently supported Crayonsmith and Windings in Roisin Dubhs, played support to Vertigo Smyth in Limerick's Boatclub and played Dublin shows in venues such as the Boom Boom Room with Paul O' Reilly, The Hollows and Crayonsmith.

Rough trade shop sold out of their debut ep Mistake Do Over which is now planned to be re-issued through pennydistribution.com in USA.

The band are curently working on a follow up release.
