The Third Party was formed in the spring of 2006 by original members Joe August, Dave Lindo . Our main goal was to incorporate our vast musical influences into one all-encompassing sound.
We draw heavily from the genres of funk, fusion, jazz, psychedelia, progressive rock, "classic" era rock and jamband/improv. We also mix in elements of reggae, folk, blues, country, soul, r&b, hip-hop and pop. We make a point to involve all of these genres into our music, which provides a level of versatility seldom visited in contemporary music. Regardless of what you're into, there's a good chance The Third Party provides it in some shape or form.
We also like to incorporate rare covers and off-the-cuff improvised musical interludes into our sets. It's important to us that we keep the crowd on their toes and always leave them guessing as to what else we've got up our collective sleeves. We find this approach has always led to extremely entertaining performances for both our audience and our ourselves.
