Bio

We are influenced by the early collaborations between Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorious and Bob Moses and in fact, Scott FitzPatrick studied with Bob Moses in the course of completing his music degree. Bassist Adam Neely is a recent graduate from Berklee College of Music and guitarist Jon Mischler has studied all over New England, Florida and New Orleans where he had the opportunity to learn and perform with Ellis Marsalis. In 1992 Jon had his score for the Black History series aired on over 700 radio stations across the country. This series was nominated for the prestigious Peabody award.

Bassist Adam Neeley is something of a musical wunderkind and can be seen here -

performing Scott Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag on 7 string bass when he was only 17!

We invite you to listen to a duet featuring Jon and Adam playing an original composition, 'Won Day In January' in the audio section!

We also bring a certain sense of humor to our performances in the way in which we arrange our material. We like to play the Turtles hit ‘Happy Together’ as a reggae tune in the middle of Benny Golson’s ‘Killer Joe’. We weave the Stevie Wonder tune ‘Living for the City’ into Duke Elington’s ‘Don’t Mean a Thing’.

But we reserve time to play blazing renditions of crowd pleasers like Chic Corea’s ‘Spain’, or standards like Jerome Kern's 'Yesterdays' done with a latin flair here -

as well as our own original compositions performed live in DC - (http://www.youtube.com/watchv=ZBlmeuNJqQY&feature=related).
