Bio
The Thriftways are a two-piece blues rock band out of Newport, Maine, that came together in late 2010 after a search for better music than what's offered in the current state of rock and roll. The group has a blues rock style, highlighted by an aggressive, dirty guitar, thumping drums, and a drive to create something more than the sum of its parts. The rock duo's goal, currently independent and unsigned, is to perform live at every opportunity, and to bring back a time when the tunes were simple, but the music was great.
