Bio
We formed in December, 1999 when our friends' band asked us to open for them. We really didn't know what the hell we were doing but we all had written one song and we were kind of cute and funny. We had a couple great drummers (boys) but they quit so Julia, in her very cool, screw-this-crap kind of way, switched from guitar to drums--that was in 2004, I think.
The trio has worked out nicely for us...we opened for the B52s and appeared on Chronicle (a nice New England TV magazine show thingy) and have had lots of nice press in such esteemed publications as the Boston Sunday Globe, Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod Voice, Northeast Performer, and more.
We think we're special because we all write songs and sing and sometimes we like to play dress-up. Sometimes Emma will tap-dance and sometimes we stage band fights. We are currently working on an EP.
We took some rock and roll maternity leave in early '07 but now we're back and scheduling shows this summer.
We did have time this winter, however, to record a song (Because) on Cape Cod Covers Vol. 2, a Beatles' tribute album that benefits Angel Flight. It should be out in June, 2007 and you can get more info at www.capecodcovers.com.
